Working with Teens

I have 25 years of experience working with teenagers as a teacher and mentor, including 10 years as an Independent Visitor for Essex County Council as a mentor to neurodiverse children. I am currently working with the Modern Stoicism team to develop an international school-based programme for 13-14 year olds, which is focused on fostering resilience and helping young people to thrive.

I’m also working with Appeer, an amazing support organisation for autistic and neurodiverse girls and women. With AS Mentoring and Autism Forward, I deliver a programme of mentoring and workshops for autistic undergraduates to help them to make the successful transition into work.

I provide video or phone based individual support to autistic teens and young people. This support is focused on the needs of the individual, including areas such as studying and exams, friendships, self-care, managing anxiety, sensory hypersensitivity and understanding autism. Please contact me for further details.
